A New Beginning ~ Open

Rue stepped off the plane and gazed around at the people who passed by her. They went about their daily lives not knowing that they weren't alone. Oh well, for them it was best they didn't know that people like her existed.

Slipping her sunglasses on, she shook back her hair and made her way for the door. The only baggage she had was a carryon. She had only the clothes on her back. If she needed something, she'd buy it. It was as simple as that.

She adjusted the strap on her shoulder and took a deep breathe of the LA air. There was so much here. It was different from Europe, but not by much. She'd spent most of her time going from town to town in any country in Europe trying to make sure Rhoan didn't find her. She loved him dearly, but he would disown her if he found out she'd fallen for a lycan and then been turned to a hybrid.

Sighing, she set off down the sidewalk. She needed to find somewhere to stay. It was dangerous to be out in the open for so long.

Cecy stood with her back against a street lamp. She wasn't really worried about being found for the moment. She moved around the city enough to keep any Lycan or Vamp confused about her location. Besides she purposely lingered around humans to mix her scent with theirs.

At this moment she was staring up at the stars. Well what little you could see through the smog and the street lights of LA. This city was alway so busy. More than once Cecy had thought to go hunting for Max in another city but she had found leads here. Different things she had to figure out if they were actual leads or traps set by those against what she was.

Hybrid.

She sighed softly as she rolled her eyes. She wasn't any different than any other immortal except she could walk in both light and darkness and her transformation was a little different. Otherwise once she became of age she wouldn't age a day beyound that date. She'd forever be young and she had all their strengths and pleanty of the weaknesses, so what was so bad about what she was.

The sixteen year old just didn't understand and while she was busy lost in thought she wasn't aware of another Hybrid making her way down the street.

Rue opened her senses to keep from having someone sneak up on her. Things were simpler when her and Rhoan were together. She missed him, but she knew that she couldn't go back. She couldn't face him this way. She wasn't ashamed, but she knew he'd be disappointed and possibly angry. She couldn't stand to have him as an enemy.

She kept her eyes on those who passed too close and anyone else. One never knew who to trust. She trusted one person.

Passing by a street lamp, she sensed something. She paused and looked into the window of a boutique as she surveyed her surroundings. There, in the reflection of the glass. Rue saw a girl leaning against the street lamp. She was what had caught her attention. Hybrid.

Rue tilted her head and appeared to be studying the garments on display. She opened her senses more and tried to see if she could the girls thoughts.
