A grind wheel whirred and screeched in the night, sparks flying as Disturbed screamed in the background:

Zophael was as far from sleep as he was going to get, and this irked him to no end. These long nights were taking their toll on his days which was making his work slip slightly. It wasn't enough for anyone to complain, but it still bothered Zophael. He didn't like to slip in his work, because he knew it was sloppy, and he was a dire perfectionist. Right now, he was working on a '69 Chevy Camaro for a friend over in Hollywood. He was tricking it out and was going to install duel nitro tanks in the trunk since the car was going to be used for legalized street racing.
Suddenly, the grind wheel stopped, and Zophael looked up as the sound of the phone ringing cut through the blaring of Disturbed. Hitting mute on the remote, Zophael ran to the phone, picking up just as it was about to go to the answering machine. Zophael said hello, and a welcomed voice answered on the other end; it was Chip Foose - Zophael's contact in Huntington Beach where he got all his parts to trick out his cars. Smiling, Zophael leaned against the door facing of his office, talking to Chip about a part he was supposed to be getting in for the Camaro.

Mud-caked boots made there way through the docks. Jael stopped and listened, blaring music was most certainly heard in one of the warehouses. Thankfully she could pinpoint where it came from after the music ceased. Turning in its direction she found #13. So this is where he was. Talking on the phone. Well she needed his services, Jael didn't have time to mess around. Approaching the door, she knocked heavily for a moment and waited.

Zophael had just finished writing down a parts number that Chip was giving him over the phone when he heard the heavy knocking on the door. He said a quick thank you and goodbye to Chip then hung up the phone. He hit the mute button again, unmuting the music, but he then turned it down so that he could still listen to the music while talking to whoever had decided to seek him out at this hour of the night. He was a tiny bit nervous being alone as Angel had gone to Budapest to hunt down a bounty.
Zophael sang along with the end of the Disturbed song until it was over then the song changed to something a little more subdued: White Night Fantasy by Nightwish. The music flowed out the door as he opened it to reveal the woman standing on the other side. Can I help you? he asked as he leaned against the door facing and took a rag from his back pocket to wipe the grease from his hands.

Jael briefly looked the man over when he answered the door. She could hear the music playing behind him and take brief glance at the machinery inside. However her attention was focused on the one in front of her. "I would hope so," she replied. "Raze, right? I was told you're the one to see if I want something made. Don't mind if I come in do you?" Jael asked, briefly glancing around. "I don't have a lot of time, but, I could really use your help."

Yeah, that's me, he replied. Please, come in, he continued as he stepped aside to allow her to enter the warehouse then he began walking back over to the grind wheel where he'd been working before his phone call. Tossing the stereo remote over onto the work table where the stereo was sitting, Zophael leaned against the workbench where the grind wheel was attached, throwing the rag aside.
So, what exactly is it that you're wanting, Miss....... he inquired, raising an eyebrow at her in an attempt at getting her name so that he wasn't walking around calling her 'lady' the whole time.

"Jael," she simply stated, taking a look around the warehouse. "Hmm not bad," she said admiring some of the designs she found. Jael took another look at Raze when she told him what she needed. She was looking into weaponry that could be designed in a such a manner to hunt down vampires easier. UV was all well and good but it wasn't enough.
Jael had tried to leave the war behind long ago but it wouldn't rest. The need to shed blood and run with a pack was pulling at her again. So Jael knew that she needed to return to Hungary.
However she needed weaponry that the Death Dealers nor the Lycan clans overseas had in their posession. Zophael Raze was highly recommended to her; question was, would he help?

Jael.... he mouthed the name to himself as if committing it to memory so that he didn't forget it just in case she may be a repeat business at some point in the future. Running hand through his dirty blond hair, Zophael pushed himself upright and stepped over to a panel on the wall behind a slick black Aston Martin - another project he was working on.......for himself. Opening the panel box, Zophael pushed in a code on a numeric pad then stepped back as a rack lowered down from the ceiling. The rack stopped and he entered another code, the doors swinging open on the front. Stepping back and turning around, Zophael is holding a weapon that looks no bigger than a portable dvd player.
Okay, this one here is a personal favorite of mine and is good for a close combat situation with a vampire that you want to get out of quickly. It's called the UV laser arc, he explained, pushing a button on the top of the weapon which caused it to slide open and a bright blue laser arc appeared between the two ends. This baby's only half as hot as the sun, but it'll slice through a vampire like a hot knife through butter, he continued, as he flipped the weapon in expert fashion.

"Well this is nice. ... I got to admit I'm surprised you take this so easily. You know, being mortal and all. I suppose you get quite a number of unusual orders?" she asked, looking over the weapon he brought out. Jael was a fast learner and easily memorized movements shown, whether it was her own skills or otherwise she didn't know.
Jael moved toward another table with curiosity, handling some of the guns she found. Nonchalantly she then asked, "You got anything that'll take out a super-powered Dr. Frankenstein?"

Zophael laughed out loud when Jael said that must get quite a number of unusual orders. It was a hearty laugh from deep within....genuine. Pushing the button, Zophael deactivated the UV laser arc weapon and laid it back on the rack. He raised an eyebrow at Jael when she asked if he had anything that would take out a superhuman Dr. Frankenstein. He was about to let go of a chuckle when he realized that she wasn't joking.
Um...well, do you know what material can kill him? For vampires, we have the UV bullets, and for werewolves, there are the silver hollow points. Got any ideas? he asked, running his hand through his hair again as he leaned against the back of the Aston Martin, folding his arms across his chest, a sign that he was already on a through process about this - mentally going over the weapons he already had in storage for anything that might help.

Jael frowned and shook her head. "To be honest, I don't know how to kill him or what can. He's supposed to be a vampire but I'm not so sure what this man is now or even where he's located. I'm planning to return to Hungary and find out any information I can," she told Zophael turning to look at him.
"That's why I came here. You have highly sought after weaponry and I need anything I can get my hands on."

The rest of the statement became lost as Zophael began pushing buttons on the lowered weapons rack, sending it back up into the safety of the impenatrable ceiling alcove. His steps were determined and measured as he walked back to a darkened corner of the warehouse, having beckoned Jael to follow him. In the darkness, a small red light blinked on and off above a panel that was displaying a grid-like screen with a single line running through it - like the heart line on a hospital monitor. Zophael stepped over into the darkness, standing in front of the panel. Suddenly, breaking the silence, he spoke, but his voice sounded as if he'd gone into a deep trance, for it didn't sound like his own, and the line on the panel peaked and changed color with each word he spoke:

The words were ancient - as old as time itself - but it was almost a dead language that very few knew. Angel had taught it to him, and he had now put it to good use. As Zophael fell silent, the panel glowed a bright golden color as a door beside him side aside to reveal a stark white room. He stepped in, motioning for Jael to follow him; the room seemed circular in shape when, in fact, it was square. That small illusion was just to throw people off - an idea courtesy of Angel. The walls were filled from floor to ceiling with weapons as was the long table in the middle. However, they were weapons that had never been seen by any eyes other than Zophael's and Angel's.
These are all my prototype weapons - basically, my weapons that I have not tested enough to clear for sale to anyone. In that knowledge, I deem them too dangerous to put with the other weapons, Zophael explained as he picked up an orb-shaped weapon from the table and stepped back over to Jael. Now this one, I have tested - once. I call it the SpatterWave. It's a combination weapon - containing a UV wave blast as well as a spatter-spray of silver nitrate filled darts, he explained then turned the orb until a small green button was visible to Jael. This is the activation button; just press it and then I would suggest running like hell because there's only a five second delay. I found that any longer and the enemy tends to get away in time, he said looking up from the weapon to Jael.

Lycans...always wanting the new kind of UV weaponry to kill them off. However none of them really knew how to deal with a Death Dealer. Selene hid within the shadows as she cocked her gun and began to feel the weight of the hunt beginning to take its toll on her. Selene personally wanted to kill the Lycan and move on, but with the mortal in the way she knew that was not an option; mortals were not in this war. Selene would make her move, but not yet...not yet.

Putting the object down, she listened and observed to Zophael's explanation of the weapons. She slightly tilted her head, hoping these would work against him. Before she spoke, she briefly halted and raked her gaze around the room. There was a feeling of being watched. Yet there was more to it. She hadn't felt a presence like this in some time...
Jael swore next. "Vampire." She would have thought this place was done well enough to keep eavesdroppers out.

Well at least she wouldnt have to worry about making her presence known; the Lycan knew she was already here. Unfortunately for the Death Dealer, the Lycan was equipped with UV ammunition, but hopefully it would match her silver nitrate bullets. Cocking the ammo into place, Selene decided wasting no time to attack, but to hopefully spare the life of the mortal. Mortals were funny things; they did not deserve to be in the war, and yet they were supplying the tools to keep it running for thousands of more years. Jumping off from the perch she had been standing on, Selene withdrew her guns and crashed through the window, before rolling and poising her barrels at the Lycan woman.

Zophael was just walking out of the secret weapons room when he heard Jael say something about a vampire. Immediately, he grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the room, pressing the button that automatically closed it, the door sliding shut in the blink of an eye.
Zophael let go of Jael, sprinting to the office. There he pushed a button on the underside of the desk. Immediately, all the exits - doors and windows alike - began sealing shut, large metal plates sliding down over them. Stepping out of the office, he pressed a large red button on the wall, and suddenly, the entire room from the floor to about six foot in height was crisscrossed by UV light rays. Glancing over at Jael, Zophael then let his eyes slip around the room until they fell on the vampire. The warehouse was on complete lockdown now; no one was going anywhere.
